It's because they (politicians) are allowed to LIE and NO ONE calls them on it.."You can't fight city hall" is another reason....We have gone from a representative democracy to a Capitalist Republic & while politicians pull the wool over everyones eyes with gun rights & abortion nonsense, they sneak in economic control over us better than any communist dictator could! By NOT REGULATING the BIG BANKS & WALL ST we all now ALL at the mercy of POWERFUL MONEY...THE GOP has always been a party of the wealthy & they are smart enough to control the uneducated, poor with nonsense ideals of God, Patriotism & guns....anytime we don't agree to common sense regulation of ANYTHING, then we get extemes!
